How Tree Snapshot Works
Tree Snapshot · Remote first look · Nationwide
Wondering what to do about your tree? Start with a certified arborist’s eyes on it.
A tree can leave you with a lot of questions. Does that change deserve attention? Is pruning the next step? Should someone inspect it in person? Tree Snapshot gives you a practical starting point from photos, before you decide what to do next.
Your submission is personally reviewed by Jeremy VanMaanen the Arborist. You’re paying for a certified arborist’s review of what you share.

Choose a sensible next move
Get practical guidance on whether your situation calls for monitoring, tree-service help, or a closer onsite look.
What your $79 includes
- Personal review of your submitted photos and information by Jeremy, an ISA Certified Arborist.
- A remote first-look response addressing the tree concerns and questions you share, within what the available photos can show.
- Practical next-step guidance to help you decide how to move forward, including when an onsite inspection or separately scoped consulting may be appropriate.
How it works
- Tell us what’s going on. Open Tree Snapshot and follow the submission prompts to describe your tree and the decision you need help making.
- Share clear photos safely. Provide the requested views from a safe location. Include the whole tree, its surroundings and the concern where you can safely do so. Stay on the ground.
- Get your personal remote review. Jeremy reviews your submission and provides guidance based on what you’ve shared. Additional information may be needed if the photos don’t show enough.
Is Tree Snapshot right for you?
It’s a useful starting point when you have a non-emergency tree question, can provide photos, and want a professional first look before committing to further work. It’s available nationwide because the review happens remotely.
Some questions need an onsite visit
A photo review cannot reveal everything about roots, internal decay, structural condition or the surrounding site. Tree Snapshot is a remote first look, not an onsite inspection, formal tree risk assessment, or a guarantee that a tree is safe. Onsite consulting and written reports are separate services.
If a tree or limb appears to pose an immediate danger, keep people away and contact appropriate local emergency help or your utility. Don’t wait for a remote review.
Before you start
Will a certified arborist actually review my submission?
Yes. Jeremy personally reviews Tree Snapshot submissions as an ISA Certified Arborist. The service is built around that professional review.
Can you tell me for certain whether a tree will fall?
No. Photos cannot establish every condition affecting a tree. The review can help identify visible concerns and sensible next steps; it cannot certify safety or predict failure.
Does this include tree work, an onsite visit or a formal report?
The $79 covers the remote Tree Snapshot review. Tree work, onsite consulting and formal written reports are separately scoped and priced. If you already need those services, see tree and arborist services.
What if my concern is about a tree I don’t own?
If your goal is to organize dated photos, observations and communications about someone else’s tree, see how ArborLock Pro works. Documentation and professional tree assessment serve different purposes.
